YOGA with Bill Wood

with Bill Wood

This way of practising isn’t so much a ‘style’ of yoga as an invitation to discover for ourselves a more natural and easeful way of working with our body.

A way of unwinding more fully and freely into our practice, using less strain or force, that takes us away from the external pursuit of physical shapes, and shows us instead how to find the right internal qualities for our body to release and realign itself.

A journey that frees up our postural habits and breathing patterns, and helps us to nurture more of a balance inside ourselves between strength and flexibility, vitality and relaxation, lightness and groundedness, and where we can start to feel more comfortable in our own skin.

Perhaps most importantly though, practising yoga this way is as much a form of mindfulness as it is a physical exercise – a form of meditative movement, guided less by thought and more by what we can feel – that teaches us how to be more present and in-touch with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

Bill holds a warm and enquiring teaching environment that’s open to all levels of experience. Students are encouraged to work in a sensitive and relaxed way, while always challenging themselves to explore their practice more deeply.

It is when we finally have no idea that we see things as they are.
